Remember the story of a recently departed perrson who was walking along the shoreline with Jesus. She remembered that when she became a Christian, Jesus promised that he would always be with her. Looking back there were a two sets of footprints but at times when her life had been difficult theere was only one pair. She complained that at those time when Jesus was needed most he had deserted her. The reply came back, " You are incorrect, at those times when you see only one set of footprints, that is the time when I was carrying you". It is important that we remember Jesus is with us at all times, even if we do not recognise this.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
